Sipo is from Western Africa near the Ivory Coast. It is a Meliaceae and in the same family as Mahogany. It has Golden brown color with some black stripes at times. These sets exhibit very beautiful quilt figure. With the cost of true mahogany spiraling and availability becoming extremely difficult the need to look for alternative tonewood is quite real. Sipo is one of these woods and we are excited to have some beautiful sets to offer. Give it a try you'll love it. |
