Well this event exceeded all expectations. What an awesome
group of guys with wonderfull famillies. It was a very heart warming
experience. My only regret is that more members couldn't attend. The
guitar and mando playing and singing by Serge and Alain was a real treat.
Didn't matter if it was singing in English or French it was fantastic. Serge
is a great picker and singer. Alain singing and playing was wonderful too.
These are 2 of the nicest young men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
My hats off to you both. You haven't lived until you've received a bear hug
from Serge and Serge's mom's cake was to die for. You can't help but love
this man. I'm sure he has his own emotional story to tell. Tony Karol is a
very accomplished musician that just happens to build wonderful and very
beautiful guitars. Tony also give loads and loads of critique and valuable
info to whomever asked. Thanks Tony. Hesh's guitars and Lacey's inlays are
even more beautiful in person. Lacey's cookies were fantastic and the
T-shirts we a wonderful surprise. Hesh can also play very good but I think
he was holding out on us. His Redwood' EIR and the Walnut/Sitka sounded
fantastic. Every one that played the walnut guitar didn't want to put it
down. There is more to that story that Serge will tell. Thanks to you both.
. Everyone really enjoyed Rich Altieri. Not only is he funny but his maple
guitar was great sounding and I think everyone the agreed. Then he proceeded
to entertain us with his singing and playing a great rendition of the
Beatles Rocky Racoon. Rich thanks again for coming. We really enjoyed your
company. Anthony Z. thank you and your lovely wife for your gifts. Anthony's
arch tops gave a lot of people including myself the overwhelming desire to
build an arch top. He is also a very good player. Lance and Theresa thank
you for coming and sharing the day with us. Theresa is not only very
beautiful but has an awesome personality. It was a real pleasure meeting
her. Lance's guitar was as we have come to expect from him. Impeccable
fit and finish and a great souding instrument. Phil Marino was kind of quiet
absorbing all the guitars and shop talk. Thanks for making the trip Phil.
Now my friend JJ what can I say. He is very special to me. He helped my wife
Roseanne and I get things set up and with cleanup and we can't thank him
enough. He also entertained us with a few songs and some great fingerpickin.
Thanks pal. It's always a pleasure to be in your company. My hat's off
to all of you who made this an event I will never forget.
