Cocobolo is a true Rosewood that grows in southern Mexico and Central America. Over time it oxidizes to a rich brown-red color with black streaks. Dalbergia retusa, is the most dense and strongest of all the rosewoods, and considered the most beautiful exotic wood due to it's colors and highly figured grain patterns. Cocobolo is the second most dense wood in the world, it has twice the density of walnut. It is often used as a substitute to Brazilian Rosewood in beauty and tonal qualities. Cocobolo a premium tonewood choice for many builders. All sets are Nicaraguan Cocobolo. |

| We are proud to offer some beautiful quarter sawn old growth Nicaraquan cocobolo sets. Cut from logs found buried for an estimated 200 hundred years. The sides and backs are cut from the same billets. Some exhibit fine dark grain lines at the center. Really awesome sets. | |||
