I thought you might like to see some of Bob's wares take form. This will be a 00 guitar with cedar top, trimmed in Brazilian Rosewood and a maple ebony purfling line, also made up by Bob.

There is a wash coat of shellac over the entire box to bring out the color and figure, but I would not call this a finish. (so don't look to critically at that aspect)
The cedar top seems to have a little bearclaw. I've never seen that in cedar before

It's a sapele and cedar 00 guitar, my verson of a L-00, though it is really a loose interpretation of that shape and style. Binding is brasilian, as is the overlay and back veneer and bridge. Fingerboard is ebony. (yawn)

John Collyer  top commissioned the Quilted Sapele guitar from Alan Arnold
"I reckon one of this country's best kept secrets. A quiet, retiring man who (like so many guitar builders in this country) doesn't seem very good at publicizing himself. 
His work is magnificent (and I have had a lot of top end guitars in my time to compare with), and at bargain basement prices. On top of all that he is bloody nice bloke.

I find it very rewarding to be allowed to be part of the instruments progress at such close quarters.

Classical guitar built by Andy Bounsall of Bounsall Guitarworks.                           It has nylon strings and the top has fan braces. .Here's the details: Top is Western Red Cedar Body bindings are maple with black dyed veneer purfling lines.
Neck is Spanish Cedar.
Fretboard and bridge are Ebony.
 
Body bindings are maple with black dyed veneer purfling lines.
7th string (high A) is 30lb test monofilament fishing line.
24 frets on the two highest strings.- scale length is 650 mm.
Schaller tuners.
Back, sides, and head plate are  Cocobolo purchased from RCTonewoods

This is a 000 made from curly mahogany and Engleman Spruce. It has red accented herringbone trim and all other trim will be Mad Rosewood, Binding, bridge, fretboard, headstock (both sides) and the headstock is the traditional slotted style.
